My Approach

When working with couples, I use a method called Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT). This approach combines principles from acceptance-based therapies (such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) with traditional behavioral techniques. IBCT provides a comprehensive framework to bring clarity and understanding the problem areas that keep couples stuck as well as practical strategies for making effective, sustainable changes that promote healthier communication and stronger emotional connection.
