Hello there! My name is Steven, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a licensed, clinical psychologist in the state of Arkansas who specializes in behavioral health treatment for couples experiencing relationship challenges as well as individuals struggling with their personal mental health.
A Little About Me
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where I attended Southern Methodist University for my bachelor’s degree in psychology. From there, I studied at Ohio State University for my doctorate in clinical psychology. I have been married since 2017, and together my wife and I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and practicing yoga. I came to Arkansas in 2020 for my pre-doctoral internship and subsequent residency at the VA medical center and have been here ever since. I enjoy meeting and working with couples and individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life!
My therapy philosophy is a balance of cognitive-behavioral therapy, humanistic-existential psychology, and functional contextualism. I Integrate these approaches to help my clients find clarity and understanding, step out of unworkable patterns of behavior, and develop effective ways of engaging with life (inside and out). My ultimate goal is to help others connect with their inner values and create a life of meaning and vitality. Click here to learn more about the values I bring into therapy.
I offer couple therapy for partners experiencing relational challenges as well as therapy for individuals struggling with their personal mental health. Additionally, I provide counseling and consultation services to couples and individuals who aren't quite sure what they're looking for yet. All services are provided via telehealth. I'm able to work with adults living anywhere in the state of Arkansas as well as in PSYPACT states.
